The theme of this small and intensive workshop is: INDIGENOUS KNOWLEDGE IN INTEGRAL GLOBAL KNOWLEDGE SYSTEM: REVISITING AFRICAN ONTOLOGY & EPISTEMOLOGY IN THE 21st CENTURY

The three key papers to be presented are:

1. ‘Decolonizing the African University: Prospects and Challenges’ by Prof. Lanre Olutayo, of the University of Ibadan.

2. ‘Beyond Wishful Thinking: The Relevance of Community Engagement in African Transformation Agenda’ by Dr Jimoh Amzat, of Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto

3. ‘Indigenous Knowledge in The Global Knowledge Systems: Revisiting African Ontology and Epistemology in the 21st Century- A perspective’ by Dr. Chris Osahon Eigbike, a Visiting Research Fellow at OFIRDI, Nigeria
